The DFC Street Series Engines are a part of DFC's Flagship line of products. The Street Series is built for the work truck owner, daily driver, and diesel enthusiast who wants a quality rebuild. This engine is a great alternative to replacing your entire truck. During the remanufacturing process, DFC makes improvements that help your engine maintain durability and reliability, even with applications with added horsepower. Each engine is built using state-of-the-art Rottler equipment. These precision machines ensure that your engine is built to tolerances that are tighter than OEM specifications for a more efficient and longer lasting engine!

Engine Remanufacturing
During the build, DFC addresses known leak areas and remedies these issues, such as adding a bead of silicone on the main cap plate to eliminate potential for leaks down the road. DFC engines are typically matched with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies. As a result, you get a smoother running engine that feels more balanced with less noise. This remanufactured Long Block includes new pistons, rings, bearings, and seals.

Cylinder Head
Unlike some others in the remanufacturing industry that re-use wearing items like valve guides, DFC replaces each one with new cast guides in every cylinder head. They don't stop there; instead of just a re-grinding high-mileage valves, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material and then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head.

Upgraded Fasteners
DFC Street Series engines come standard with OptiTorque or ARP 2000 Series Head Studs (depending on availability) to give you peace of mind that your new engine won't fail like an OE Ford engine due to head gasket issues. Not only does DFC use Head Studs to keep the heads in place they also replace the factory connecting rod bolts with upgraded fasteners when assembling the bottom end of your 6.0 Powerstroke engine to ensure that you have an engine that is more dependable than the original.

Warranty
DFC engines are remanufactured by diesel enthusiasts for diesel enthusiasts. To show their pride, DFC offers one of the most comprehensive warranties in the industry. Each DFC Street Series Long Block Engine comes standard with a 5-year, 100,000 mile warranty (Non-Commercial).

Street Series 6.0L Long Block Includes:
Complete short block with front cover and seal, rear cover with main seal, oil pan, cylinder heads, all rockers and pushrods installed, head studs, upgraded connecting rod bolts, and a complete top end gasket kit to finish installation.

New Engine Checklist (Replacement Items - Sold Separately):
Oil Cooler - highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.
Injectors - highly recommended especially on higher mileage engines or engines with contaminated fuel.
Turbocharger - recommended if mileage over 125K miles, mandatory if shaft play is present, or if engine was dusted.
Water Pump - highly recommended if engine has over 125K miles.
Evans Waterless Coolant - recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion, boilover, and all-around a better cooling system performance.

Application Notes:

This crate engine is designed for models with 20mm cylinder head dowel pins.
The specific brand of each component may change due to part availability at the time of each build. Parts are chosen at the discretion of DFC and cannot be specially requested. DFC uses only the best components sourced from multiple brands during the remanufacturing process and backs their engines with an industry-leading 5-year 100,000 mile warranty.

Product Returns

Product Return Policy

  • Returns must be packaged securely in an outer carton
  • Do not write on the product packaging itself. Write only on the outer shipping carton.
  • Packages received without a Return Authorization Number written clearly on the outer carton will be refused.
  • Returnable items must be received by SUP within 30 days of the product being received by you the customer. (determined by tracking number)
  • Returned product must be in new, re-saleable condition, with all original boxes, packaging, parts, cables, manuals, etc.
  • Upon receipt, all returns will be inspected, and, at our discretion, credit may be refused or a restocking fee of 5%-10% may be assessed.
  • Original shipping cost and shipping protection charges are non-refundable.
  • Customer is responsible for shipping costs incurred to return products.
  • Products can only be returned for a refund, store credit, or an exchange for the same item. Product cannot be exchanged for a different part number.

Some Circumstances in which credit will not be issued but not limited to:

  • Product has been installed and/or used
  • Product has been damaged from an attempt to be installed and/or used
  • Product is shipped back without original box, manual and/or parts
  • Seal on electrical parts is broken
  • Product serial number does not match that of which was original shipped to buyer
  • Product is deemed not resell able by SUP due to customers own actions in dealing with the product

Core Returns

Core Return Instructions: STOP! Please read to avoid costly delays!

  • Step 1:  Verify the core will be received back within 30 days. (See Deadline)
  • Step 2: Fill out the Return Form.
  • Step 3: Wait for return instructions. SUP will email a return number (RMA) and a return shipping address. Many cores will be sent directly back to the manufacturer, so please read the instructions.
  • Step 4: Package the core. Good packaging prevents costly damage and/or the core being refused by the shipping carrier. It may be possible to reuse the box your original product came in. If not, use a box strong enough to support the product. Seal the product in a plastic bag to prevent leaks. Cushion the product with packing material and securely seal the package with tape.
  • Step 5: Attach the shipping label you have purchased (see return shipping policy) and write the return number (RMA) large and clear on the outside of the box.
  • Step 6: Ship the core.

Core Return Policy *** Important Please Read ***

Deadline: Core returns will only be accepted within 30 days of receiving the original product. After 30 days core credit refunds will be at the discretion of SUP.

Refund Policy: Returns made between 0-30 days are eligible for credit back to the original payment method used for the purchase. Credit may be full, partial, or denied based on the acceptance policy below. Please allow up to 4 weeks after the core is received for inspection and refund if accepted.

Return Shipping Policy: Core return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. SUP recommends using a carrier that provides package tracking and insurance. You will not be reimbursed for shipping costs incurred in shipping the core. SUP is not responsible for cores received damaged, freight penalties, and/or lost shipments.

Acceptance Policy:

 

  • No leaking fluids, all fluids must be drained, and the core must be sealed in a plastic bag. 
  • The core returned must be a like-for-like make, model, type, and part number.
  • Cores will not be accepted from a salvage or junkyard.
  • Cores must not be disassembled or have missing and/or damaged major components. 
  • Cores must be in rebuildable condition.

Core refund acceptance is at the discretion of SUP and the manufacturer/remanufacture or the original product. Failure to follow the above policy may result in partial credit and/or no credit being issued. If you would like a core returned that has been denied acceptance, you may request that within 30 days and pay for return shipping. Cores that have not been accepted and are unclaimed by the customer after 30 day will be destroyed and disposed of.
